Bred while already carrying

Hey y'all, I have an Angus cow that was on a pasture with a bull last June, while she was already carrying a calf that she birthed the last weekend of August. I noticed today she looks to be bagged up and wide in the sides. Is it possible she was bred while already carrying a calf?

No but she possibly could have bred back within a month and be 6 months bred .

Yes it is possible. Can continue to cycle and get breed . On different cycles . Not common but it does happen.

The bull could mount her during late pregnancy but it would only be for his self gratification.

I would think that the cervical plug in the uterus opening would keep any semen from getting in, but that is just my opinion. I am not a reproductive specialist but I play one on here occasionally.
