bred heifer

Help Support CattleToday:

Count back 3 months and add 10 days from the date she is bred.
This will give you the 283 day time frame due date.
Some cows will calve a few days early and some a few days late
Some right on the money.
This normally will get you within 10 days of calving.

on the front of the cattle today web site there is a gestation table you can print off. scroll down from classifieds and QA boards.

The end of Feb to very early March. The 20th of May is right at 1 March

if i was to breed a heifer in late may when would she calve

The best way I've been able to remember this over the years is "April breeding gives you a January calf." Count from there.
