Howdy,
I'm starting a pair of lil' ol' paint ponies to pull a wagon. They've gotten use to the bit and rigging. What's the next step? I know there is a long process to it. I've never broke a pony to cart but my father and grandfather have been around horses all their lives. They are about 2. I've been told to start walking behind them and then hitch them to a log or tire(?) and slowly start working them and then by the time they get use to the log hitch em' up to the wagon and have someone lead them and one person in the wagon. Any advice or tips? Thank you!
