From the work I've done with several Brainvieh herds, a terminal cross would be the only way to use them. Due to the lack of reliable EPDs, my only concern would be the birth weight causing possible dystocia. If the baldy is a mature cow, it might be worth a try. At one time I was pretty high on Braunvieh, but I've just seen to much calving problems and erratic BWs to feel very comfortable with them now.
