Braunvieh bulls

We've used some semen out of the Braunvieh bull Polled Plus and like the crossbred calves we got. We're considering breeding some more cows to Braunvieh next year and were wondering what other Braunvieh bulls were working in your operations.

We are using a Braunvieh cross bull right now. He is half Charlois and half braunvieh great bull!! The calves are great out of him. The only thing is on b/w cows he pulls out the red gene and sometimes throws a tigerstripe brindle. He was out of a Golden Link dam and a neighbors char. bull. Jake

The only Braunvieh bull I have liked is a bull called Swiss Tradition Ricco. He is out of an easy breeding 1500 Lb cow that is picture perfect. He is very thick and muscular. His calves are not the usual dumb at birth dairy barn types I have seen out of some Braunvieh bulls. I can state that few Fleckvieh bulls are this good. The Urlichs have now moved on to sons of ricco and some breders in the US have some of his breeding.
