Branding

A nice day for a branding (sarcasm). I don't know if it made 40 degrees with a nice wind to help out. At one point it snowed on us for about 10 minutes. But we got all of neighbor C's calves branded. Fourth branding here this year. Another one scheduled for Saturday. I hope someone gets one on a nice day. I wanted to take more pictures but got busy and forgot that I had the camera with me. Note the little guy riding a horse in the first picture. He is 7 years old. Ropes calves and drags them to the fire. He quit roping about the time I remembered that I had the camera on me.

I did notice the everyone, including me, was standing as close to the fire as they could. I told one of the guys that there was plenty of wood so we might as well use it.
