Normal changes every 50 miles.
Around here the ropers all have rubber on their horn.
And they aren't necessarily team ropers.

Here and south well into Nevada and into SW Idaho horns are wrapped with mule hide I believe. And they don't take just one dally. They stack em up. Hard to slip a little rope on rubber.

And here they don't just rope the heels and drag them to the fire. They head and heel but bring them in by the heels. That is certainly one of those things which changes as you move across the country.
