Three salesmen were traveling down the road and got tired so they stopped at a motel.(Keep reading it isn't what you think). The man at the desk said thirty dollars so each of the salesmen gave him a ten.
After awhile the man at the desk realized he over charged the three salesmen and gave the bell boy five dollars to pay them back. The bell boy didn't know how he could split five dollars between three men so he put two in his pocket and gave one dollar to each of the three salesmen.
So now lets recap. Each salesman paid ten dollars and got one back so their each out nine dollars. Nine dollars x three men = twenty seven dollars + the two in the bell boys pocket = twenty nine. Where is the other dollar?
