Strengths - Heat tolerance, insect resistance, cows typically have a smaller calf when bred to none Brahman bulls, when handled calmly and quietly they become very gentle and a pet. Because of being a complete outcross, Bos Indicus all none humped cattle are Bos Taurus, they maximize heterosis. Weakness - Late puberty, don't finish at as high a grade or as quickly as some other breeds. Disposition, if handled improperly become very wild excitable and hard to handle. Because of the weakness' they are docked at most salebarns, however, they have been used in developing many composite breeds usually at about 3/8 Brahma, this removes some of the "ear" that is used as a guiding influence by buyers as an excuse to dock them. On range they have a different grazing pattern then Bos Taurus cattle. They tend to travel further from water and better utilize feed spread over a greater area.
