as you know, im the proud owner of a Red Brahman bull now. my brother has a Beefmaster heifer that he wants to breed. what would turn out if i put my bull with his heifer once its mature enough? neither of us have bred cattle before and have no idea what would turn out of it.

Well since purebred Beefmasters are 50% Brahma, and you cross one with a full blooded Brahma bull. You will get an animal that is 75% Brahma, and would mostly resemble that breed.

Not a good breeding decision! You're going to get too much "ear" on the calf, and if it's a bull, you'll get docked substantially if you take it to market. I would suggest a continental or english bull for the Beefmaster heifer, and I would suggest you use your Brahman on straight bred cows.

Tex,
Tell your bro to breed his heifer to a beefmaster bull, like LBAR 5502.

Then get a couple of hereford cows to breed your brahman to.
