why do u think is it important to have different breeds of cattle :?:

Compare it to dogs if you know a little about them. You have dogs that were bred to do just about anything you can imagine. Some dogs are swimmers and retrievers. Some hunt squirrels, some herd cattle, some fight bears and lions others for protection, etc etc. Every breed has an intended purpose and use. Those with no purpose are extinct. Which makes me wonder why we still have cats.

To aggravate people and keep down the rat/mouse population in control. And besides, they're too ornery to go away.

Not only that, we use them as "Bug Control", we also have Ducks and Gueese for the same purpose.
