They are identical vaccines in so far as they cover the same species. So why the HB? Both cover Leptospira hardjo!

Both vaccines cover the following:

The FP 5 viruses:
Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (IBR)
Bovine Viral Diarrhea (BVD) Type 1 & 2
Parainfluenza3 (PI3)
Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Virus (BRSV)

Vibrio: Caused by bacteria Campylobacter fetus.

The 5 Leptospira spirochates:
1.  Canicola
2.  Grippotyphosa
3.  Hardjo
4.  Icterohaemorrhagiae
5.  Pomona

Here is the difference. BS Gold FP 5 VL5 HB includes a serovar, Leptospira borgpetersenii hardjo (type hardjo-bovis). The HB is an acronym for the type hardjo-bovis.

How significant is this? Studies are showing that most of the leptospirosis in the United States are caused by that serovar.

What you pay to get the Leptospira borgpetersenii HB serovar:

BS Gold FP5 VL5 without HB:
10 doses - 26.29
50 doses - 115.99

BS Gold FP5 VL5 with HB:
