gnrh and cidr on day 0

estramate today (day 6)

cidr removal tomorrow (day 7) - when I normally give the estramate - I forgot the protocol changes to have the estramate on day 7 when you use the gnrh

usually I heat detect for 2 days and time ai at 66 hours after estramate with another shot of gnrh

any idea what I should expect now?

Agree with red. I think some protocols call for prostaglandin on day 6 but the extra run through the chute turned a lot of people off so it is just moved to day 7.

So you guys are thinking the timed ai would still be 66 hours after the PROSTAMATE? or 66 hours after the cidr removal? (a difference of 24 hours in my case).

66hrs from time of CIDR removal.

You didn't botch anything. In fact, you are sitting in really good shape. As novaman said, you actually used the prefered protocol, but most don't use it because of the extra run through the chute.

Just read something of interest from MSU. They suggest giving the gnrh shot at 48 hours post cidr (even in my case) and then breeding after 12 hours. So the ideal protocol would actually involve 5 trips through the chute.
