Educational post for all the what should I breed questions. If you have Gerts or Simbrah, you need a bull with less milk if you want to keep/sell breeding stock heifers. Charolais will knock it down and so will Hereford.
 
Sign me up for some Braford cows like the ones in the picture, and about 3 of those brangus Bulls.

Out of all the cattle I saw the Brafords were the most visually stunning. They were sleek, shiny and beefy. They really turned heads.

My understanding is that originally Brahman and shorthorn like a Santa and then used some other British breeds like Hereford. They are about 50/50 bos indicus bos Taurus composite.
