ive learned its good too understand the whole realm of the cattle industry, and not limit yourself too any area or breed....you would be suprized in my area the difference within a 100 mile radius

Working Ranch magazine is pretty good right now too.

If you want to learn about specific breeds, join the different associations, most of them have breed publications. I know at least the Angus & Holstein Assoc.'s do. The different associations would also be more than happy to send you all kinds of brochures and info if you want them.

I don;t know about the other associations but you can subscribe to the Red Angus magazine without having to join. It has the usual amount of rahrah for their breed but there are also good articles that are more general
