Blood in the mouth?

I have a calf I am having to bottle feed that is about 7-8 days old. While he is taking the bottle the foam he gets in his mouth is bloody. Red fresh blood. Has anyone ever seen this? Someone mentioned he might not have gotten enough mama milk in him to get his enzymes going or that he might have worms in the stomach eating the lining of the stomach. Ive never seen it before myself. I have checked his mouth right after a bottle and couldnt find anything wrong... Any ideas??
Thanks
Anja

Do you only see the blood while he's nursing? Perhaps he's cutting his tongue when he sucks? Check closely inside his mouth after he's finished eating. He may have a sharp tooth.
