I was wondering if it matters what type of oil used to help bloat-----mineral oil is what I am told is the standard. In a pinch can vegetable oil be used i.e. canola, olive, corn---etc.? I wasn't sure if mineral oil held up better being it isn't a "natural" oil or if it mattered as long as it was oil. I thought perhaps that vegetable oil broke down too quickly or something. We had a bloat and all I had on hand was almond, walnut, olive, and grape seed massage oil. Since we didn't know we sent a son to town to get mineral oil:)
