blind cow

Just had our first calf.Seems to be doing good and is sucking but the cow is almost blind.Put them in a pen by theirselves.What's our chances of the calf surviving?

Is there a visible problem with the eye or are you basing it on the calf's behavior?

*Sorry, misread the first time and thought the calf was blind.

Should not be a problem. Put a small bell on the calf so the cow will know where it is. Otherwise, if the calf strays any distance the cow may destroy the fence down trying to locate the calf.
