A while back I followed the golden rule and did a good deed for someone and asked nothing in return. It was my good deed for this century. This week I was given this custom .243 as an unexpected thank you. I may name it Karma or Viper.

After an ocular bore sight I shot this four shot group. (pardon the high flyer I think I may have farted) I think its a beautiful rifle and is very sweet to shoot and pretty accurate in spite of my flatulence.

That is a beautiful rifle. I have never seen one like it before. Good group shot too. Looks like someone might have goosed you on the last shot, but it is still close as well.

I broke it in this afternoon. Fairly long shot across a field in failing light and was pleased to hear the reassuring pop as the bullet struck the deer just an inch from where I thought I was aiming. I think I'll really like this rifle because it seems to fire when you get the cross hair on target without even having to think about squeezing the trigger and its seems to be a very flat shooter.

I'm pretty sure they train snipers to time the shot between farts. You might work on that

Nice looking rifle. Sis in law has a .243 and loves it.
What does target 'c' look like? Looks like it may have a high flyer too--lay off those Frijoles Negros the night before.

The holes in the C is where I was trying to bore sight the rifle. I was actually shooting at the D target to get this group. Fort Benning isn't a far drive and I think I might drop by and practice with those guys and learn timed flatulence and maybe get one of those sniper badges so I'll have a little credibility when I step on the range with others. The special operations badge I have just doesn't seem to gain much respect for some reason and for the life of me I don't know why.

243 is one of my favorites.
Long and flat and won't knock your shoulder off. But will do the job ask of it.
At least here in AR. Go west from here and you have to step some for the range and size of the game.

Joe, I really do like that gun. If you could get more information about where it came from, I would love to know the details. That is if you feel comfortable about asking the person who so kindly rewarded you for your help. You will just have to them that some nut is crazy about your gun and wants to know more about it.

He's also one of the few folks that can out shoot Joe.

Is that Joe?

Afraid not. That's David and he's too handsome to be confused with me.

Might be worth mentioning the blonde lady in the photo would surely deflate a guys ego if they shot beside her. And her daughter could do the same.
