Blackleg Vacinations for older cows

Can anyone tell me if it is necessary to vacinate cows older than 2 years old for Black leg if they have allready had two years of the vacination.

We re-vaccinate EVERYTHING annualy.

Same here too! The $15 or so a year the vaccines cost us per head (we give our own shots) is a lot cheaper than chance of a dead or disabled animal.

I would. I vac. every year cow with Virusshield 4 5L, 7 way and a black leg.

Our vet says he wishes everyone would do it. The calves get some immunity from the dam & vaccination only costs about $2.00.

I vaccinate annually and worm every 6 months. My neighbor does not and he is always having cows or calves come down with the snots, or someother god-awful thing. None of my cows have ever had any problems, and I attribute that to their 1. isolation 2. Good nutrition 3. the annual vaccinations. ;-) :cboy:
