Think it would be a waste of time spraying some blackberries once they are already getting big berries on them and some black ones?

Got some I wanted to spray back in May when we usually do, but rain kept messing up my plans.

None of the herbicides are very effective on blackberrys after they set fruit. You may think you've killed them but next year they'll pop up again.

That was what I was afraid of.

Blackberries are bad to the bone. I've been spraying the same ones for years.
Yep they just keep on comming back. I've had success using manual and mechanical methods in combination with 2-4D or Grazon. (I root plow the patch, then pick out the roots by hand.) Luckly I've not had any real big patches to get rid of. :)

My cows strip the leaves off. Eventually the cane dies. If its a thicket, just mow a path through it and let them have at it.
