Good rigging to land one that size 'cause that's a strong lamma jamma. Fingers cut from big flatheads like that are surprisingly good fried up.

Be sure and cut out the cheeks on the head....Best eating you have ever put in your mouth.....and yes my nothern friends those things are as tasty as walleye cheeks

Nice op. What did yall use for bait ? We bait out lines with mud cat. I'm not sure if yall have those where your from. Perch work well too. but they love mud cat .

JSCATTLE you might want to check with TP&W on the mudcats....Purty sure they consider bullheads or polly wogs or mudcats a gamefish....of course what they dont know cant hurt em...lol

No they aren't game fish .there was a article in the 2005, April addition of tpwd magazine . By Chester Moore about using them for bait . I tried to put a link to it but I'm not that smart .

Well thats good to know, they are good bait. Ive had great luck on Lake Livingston using yellow perch....the ones that look like a hybrid striper
