Hello all, hope ya'll are well!

We got a lot of new salebarns and man, its been tough with sickness. Salebarns (stocker cattle #350-#400) are well known for being risky cattle. This one group we currently have is just a bad group, and no excuses for them being bad really. They get fed and have amazing rye grass, I've never seen a group so slow and lethargic in their first couple of days. Other groups we've had are usually always full of energy in the beginning and real curious about their surroundings Even if they were castrated, you could still see the energy they had. Yes, we do give them everything at the processing chute (Draxxin, tetanus, One Shot, Multimin) and they do get castrated. We've been experimenting with Micotil some, give them that upfront and then hit them with Draxxin KP when they get sick but it's not perfect.

Anyway, what would ya'll's preferred combo of doctoring meds be? When we get sick cows we usually doctor them with Resflor & Excede together along with Dexamethasone or MultiMin. Used the combo of Draxxin KP and Baytrill too but again, no combo seems to be perfect.

Curious about what you guys think!

Micotil is a good antibiotic BUT IT WILL KILL YOU IF YOU STICK YOURSELF WITH IT.
I used to use it a lot until I got tired of the lecture every time I went to order a bottle.

Back to your question; Are they getting a booster for (BVD, IBR, PI3, BRSV) Somnus, 7 way blk leg at the same time as the multi min, Draxxin, one shot, and tetanus?
That's a lot of pokes. They could be needle sore.
Vitamin B complex will help boost their appetite.
At the sale barn we used to give Predef 2X to cattle that got an extra full vaccination program after they were bought.
Predef 2X is no longer available but maybe Bannimine or meloxicam just to perk them up.
