A Net Worth Daughter tried to kill me yesterday. Head down , full charge. She went through the temporary panels/corral I had set up in the field. I need better panels , and she is going to MC Donalds. I didn't end up catching her. What are the best panels out there ?

My opinion the best are Powder River Classic. They just don't bend with abuse. But with panels you still need solid posts. A panel corral is only as good as the posts holding it up.

Agree with Dave. That said the neighbor's whacko bull launched himself over a 16' PR gate and bent the gate latch lever a bit but its still functional.

This is what I use. Haven't had a cow bend, break, go over, go under, or go through one yet. I don't use any posts either. $100 a pop if I buy 25. $110 if less than 20.

This is where they get their panels http://www.allengateandpanel.com/ Looks like a $33 mark up. These are good panels just a pain connect on uneven ground. Sometimes I wish the pins were just a little smaller in diameter

Here is the manufacturer for those panels I believe. Have a complete line of stuff. They also make a low cost palp cage that works very well. I do not have posts on mine either.

Yep. You're exactly right. Uneven ground is a pain. I try not to move them much. My back ain't what it used to be.

We have a little bit of everything. I like PR classic panels, but I've got one that a cow jumped on and sprung. I've got some Sioux gates coming this week, they are the 7 rail 62" high ones. I'm going to put 10" legs under them. Haven't been able to break GoBob 7rail corral gates yet.
Red River Arenas has some 72" x 10' panels that weigh 100lbs, that I would like to try.
Anything that will hold wild cattle usually takes a tractor to move.

If she is a Net Worth won't she skip McDonald's and end up as a Hardee's thick burger? :lol2:

Dart her.

I was thinking of sighting in my 300 Win mag. Besides deer hunting is almost here.

At least give her a sporting chance....
Sneak up on her and use a 44.
Gawd. Lol
Besides, it sounds like shes broke to lead.
Ya just gotta run fast...

I have used 44 mag out of a Model 92.

The best panels or ones you build yourself and have to handle with the loader. That said I would start looking at local outfits that build panels and pens and stay away from the big names at the tractor store.
You can get pretty good lightweight panels if built right. Lots of verticals and they don't have to be heavy but plentiful.
It also imo to seem better to have all horizontal bars equal spacing. The trend to leave a larger gap on top or on the bottom for a tighter spacing in the rest invites cattle to test the fence. They will always go for what seems to be the hole. If everything is uniform, they don't see a hole and often won't try. :2cents:

Cheaper to buy a dart gun than panels. I have some custom panel pens that a guy makes and dips around here but if an animal wants out... they will get out. I had a bull stick his horns in cattle panels and start peeling it off pipe before. If she is the real deal there isn't a panel heavy enough to hold her.

If your not comfortable with the dart gun or cant justify it than I agree with putting a bullet in her dome. That is the most cost effective option with the least amount of risk for every one involved.
