I have 20 acres that is in wheat right now, that as soon as the wheat is harvested I would like to put it to grass, for my cows, it has been farmed forever, and is a very loose and sandy soil, I was considering Brome, but im afraid that the cows will wear it down when it rains-would bermuda be a good choice to help hold the soil togather, and is there a special viraety besides wrangler bermuda that i should consider--any help would be appriciated.--thankyou mickey

Bermuda is great if you are in the right climate for it. It needs water, fertilizer and heat. Check with your extension people and see if they recommend Bermuda for your area and which variety.

Jiggs bermuda grass is about the best thing around here. With proper fertilizing it grows like crazy. Bahaia is also a good, heat tolerant grass.
