Beet pellet and free martin question

I saw beet pellets for sale at the feed store the other day. We have a heifer we are raising as a family cow. Are these something I would want to throw in with her grain or give her as a treat? Secondly, there was definitely dishonesty in the purchase of her and now that I've been reading more I've noticed the issue of free martin. How common is the incidence of freemartins? I guess I just wouldn't put it past the person I bought her from to have known she was a freemartin when I purchased her.

It comes down to how frequent are multiple births and of those births how many are mixed gender. 90%+ of those heifers born twin to a bull are freemartins. Has this gent had a lot of twins, has the heifer cycled? Even if she has cycled there is no gaurentee she isn't a freemartin but some of them don't. Other then breeding her and seeing if she takes the only other way to know 100% is a DNA bloodtest.
