I bought a beekmaster bull about a month ago to put on cross bred cattle will he be good to put on first time heffers about 15 months old there brangus cross
I think he should be fine to breed your heifers. We never had any trouble with our beefmasters with the exception of prolapse. They should have no trouble calving.
the 1/2 blood Brahman that Beefmaster carry will be the reason you should not have any problems if it's bred with first time heifers

The Beefmaster bull is not 1/2 blood Brahman. They are a combination of Brahman, Hereford and Shorthorns. No seems to know for sure what the original combination was. Here's a link to the OK State Breeds site.
...the web page, I think you should read it first, it says that modern Beefmaster have slighty less than one-half Brahman blood and slighty more than one-fourth of Hereford and Shorthorn breeding, sorry but think I was right.

Beefmasters are the results of crossing F1 Brahman X Herefords and F1 Brahman X Shorthorns. When the herd was closed in the 1930s, the exact proportions were unclear. The best guess by Tom Lasater was that the genetic makeup was 1/2 Brahman, 1/4 Hereford, and 1/4 Shorthorn. That information comes from the family that developed the breed.
I quit using an Angus bull on my heifers because of calving problems(calves too big). I use only Beefmasters and use my herd sires on my heifers. The only problems I have had, have been presentation problems( backwards; head or leg turned back). That's not to say you won't have problems because their are some lines in BBU cattle that have birth weight problems(Ranger's Pride breeding is one and if your bull decends from him, I wouldn't use him unless your heifers have nice broad hips). Any bull with 1/2 or more Lasater breeding should be fine.
