I have been trying to find information on beefalo, and have thoroughly explored the info I have found on the web, etc. Does anyone have any ideas regarding the acceptance of beefalo meat, and are they profitable to raise in general, or in the Northwest, where I am located?

Thank You, Kenneth Strawn

You might give the Beefalo Assoc. a try, they may know of breeders in your area. http://www.ababeefalo.org/

Beefalo

The meat from beefalo is generally just marked beef. It usually grades select. Some are trying to get it into health stores, but this hasn't happened on a big scale. I'd suggest staying with traditional cows and maybe try one or 2 beefalo to see if you like them. Any livestock industry that promises a get rich in this business is soon to fail with only the very first into it making the rich claims.
