Beef Processing Plan Closing in Kansas Tyson

I have been thinking that the $1500 price we have been getting for 500 lb calves would along the way cause something like this. Feed lot between me and the processor would be working on a tight budget. Then the beef processor has to buy the fed calves. I have thought with the initial cost of calves the price I get would cause someone along the way to the housewife would lose money. Better then me losing like I have before the last two years.

Looks like it a pretty small plant if it only has 800 employees.
A quick look at the article says that it was just hamburger and marinated meat produced.
