banded calf/sac hanging down 6''

never seen such a thing. like it elongated about 6-8'' long. stinks like dead meat. banded area looks good and clean. not even red looking or inflammed. looks like a good castration except for the longness of it hanging down between his legs. hes fine..just seemed odd. i always band em within a week or so of brthin cuz its aeasier to throw em. business as usual ...cept like i said..looks strange

Better watch out for blood poisoning. Sounds like it is infected. Might have to use a knife, afterall.

What Dusty Britches said! I've seen that happen here. I don't remember it causing a problem, but when something like that was noticed, my brother would put the calf in the chute and finish the job with a sharp knife.

i did. fergot to mention that i cut it. was very strange thing to see. he seems fine. checked it agin yesterday
