Thinking about buying a used New Holland 660 baler. Does anyone have an opion on this one?

We have a 648 and a Vermeer 604, both good balers, I personally think the Vermeer is better built and not quite so "flimsy" but the new holland makes a tad tighter bales...

I have used a NH 650 and really liked it. You could drive pretty fast and it really made nice bales. I wouldn't hesitate buying one. I can't really think of anything negative about it. But I only used it a couple days when mine was broke down, so I have limited experience with them.

You can't go wrong with a 660 thats in nice shape. The 660, 664 and 688's were all essentially the same baler with incremental improvements with each model. About the only real thing to ask about is to see if the 660 had the slip clutch update put on it. If not, plan on $500 or so for the update. Otherwise, you can bale 8 - 12 mph while cracking out 2000 lb bales. Good balers.
