They have some little keychain ones too.. HF probably has them for like $10... I have one on my truck keychain to check temps when I'm towing hard

I have two half tons with the coolers, but they still get up to 220 to 230 F with a load...

Mine will hit about 180 - 190 and usually stay there with heavy loads. (15k+) more then that and I start getting worried. Towing hard and high temps over 200 I have blown my trans seal twice.
