i have a 18 month old heifer that ate a good amount of bailing twine. my father was taking it off the bale and didnt notice her come up and take it. looked over and she had a good amount of it in her mouth and was taking in more. he tried to catch it and pull it out but of course as soon as he went for it she takes off. im guessing its just a waiting game to see if she'll be alright but wanted to ask if there is anything i can do. i really wanted to keep her and she should be pregnant

If it is sisal twine she should be fine. Plastic - it really depends on how much she ate; but I doubt it was enough to cause a problem if it happened that quickly.

yeah its the plastic kind. i dont even bother taking the sisal twine off the hay. i guess it was quite a bit about two good hand fulls and then the stragglers she was pulling in going up across the field. oh well not much we can do about it i guess if she starts not doing well we'll know why
