we just pulled our first backwards calf its mother has no interest in it what so ever we are going to put her in the head gate and she if the calf will suck she never cleaned it off we had to put her under the heat . Isn t calvin wonderful

One of cows didn't want to take her calf after it was pulled either. Since we had dried the calf off with towels, I just put the towel on the ground right in front of the cow and watched her really closely. When she started wanting to chew on the towels, I figured she was ready to take her calf -- and she did.
