Ayrshire?

What are the pros and cons for Ayrshire cattle and Ayrshire crosses? I live in New York state. I had a Holstein farmer that lives never me tell me that they bring a very high price here. Is this true?

Not near as framey as Holsteins, tend to be kickers (be careful when behind them) much higher strung then holstein, probably a better cross then jersey if going for beef cross
