Average is tough to determine. There is tremendous variety in the Angus breed, some bulls will weigh 1800 some will weigh 3000. Cows as well, can vary from 900 to 2000 pounds. Neither extreme is necessarilly the best, but if not for the small the large wouldn't be needed and vice versa.
