Anyone have any good ideas on how to feed a few #500 calves through the winter on 5-10 lbs of grain a day? I work out of state and am looking for an automatic option.

We use it in our creep feeders to keep them from becoming to fleshy.

they make computer feeders that will feed each animal exactly what you want it to have....
a few years back a lot of dairys had what were called magnet feeders...each cow had a magnet that the feeder responded to to ration out that cows grain....
it is old technology but I bet a dairy equipment dealer could find you a decent used one....
