Just wondering if anyone had used an MSA price grid or just generally what prices are paid over the hook in NSW/AUS at the moment. The old guy has only used the local cattle yard and I was wondering if the prices were comparable (obviously taking into account dressing percentage and carcase weight). I get the impression the MSA grids favour Murray grey/ british breeds over Bos Indicus, so I thought they might be a little higher than sale yard prices.
Also can producers get grading sheets even though they have sold at the yards and the cattle get slaughtered by the new owner?
