Made me chuckle today.

Jersey bull calf for sale, "mum is a full jersey, but black and white due to some distant ancestors who were friesian/crossbred"

um ... yeah, ok

he will make a great breeding bull for someone

What a coincidence!! I just happen to have a purebred Angus bull calf for sale. It's red and has already been castrated and dehorned. Cheap.

It all swings on how you define 'full jersey'.

The database I use records anything 14/16s or more as simple J. And I have to say, I've seen anything up to 16/16 Holstein Friesian drop a Jersey calf a few times... maybe when they grow up they have a longer head and a bit more bone, but at first glance they're Jersey.
Goes the other way too. I get a bit snappish when people tell me something about one of my 'Friesians' "her mother's a Jersey! There *are* no Friesians in the group."
