Who was using profanity? I don't recall any postings of profanity (aka those few really "bad" 4-letter words). What I do recall, however, are a lot of "put-downs" from some of the breeders about other people's type of livestock and such. If you consider a rare "d--n" to be an abuse of good Christian language, or other rather mild expletive in common use among even sophisticated society...well, I guess you are more Godley than the rest of the world.... Peace be with you and God Bless! P.S. I haven't heard any of the other posters complain about profanity (if it has occurred)... the posters usually defend themselves quite well on the Cattle Today boards.

The problem with the relatively harmless profanity is that it usually rapidly progresses to language that would curl a sailor's ears (or maybe even a cowboy's).
We think many of our users find these boards both entertaining and informative. Fot their sake we have no intention of letting them get out of hand. Offensive posters will have all their messages deleted and their IP address will be banned from future posts. It that fails to stop the problem, the boards will go to a "monitored" status with all posts pre-approved before appearing on the board.
In the last 4 years only one poster has been banned and very few posts have been deleted. Let's keep it that way!

There are those of us who appreciate you taking this position. There have been complaints about the profanity. Thanks for trying to keep this a clean board.

thank you some of us enjoy the board and do not appreciate the language, there are some young people who are involved.
