If you are going to register the calves, they shoulsd be DNA tested.
Some cows will calve about 10 days early and some a few days late. Some cows will come back in heat at about 17 days.
I have heard of instances where the cows were AI'ed and the ones that came back in heat AI'ed again. In one instance that I know of one cow that was rebred had her calf before one that had settled on the first breeding. Without records this calf from the second breeding would have been thought to calve from the first breeding.
