I had these AR 5.56/.223 lowers laying around and put two of them together yesterday and ordered parts to put the other one together. I have bout a $100 in each. Now I just need to decided which uppers to get. I am thinking about getting a .300 Blackout for one, 6.8mm Remington SPC for one and make a .223 pistol with the other. Anybody tried these yet?

You want the 6.8mm SPC II. The standard 6.8mm does not have as good of ballistics.

I have a .300 Blackout that began life as a .223 SBR. I like my blackout, but haven't shot it past 200 yds. Plenty accurate with supersonics at that range. I think the .223 barrel is 9" and never had a round through it...just in case you need one for this project.

Just got done putting a 8 in noveske 300 blackout barrel on a ar pistol I had laying around. Gonna try it on some pigs soon
