Army Worms

Any Texicans (or others) hearing any talk about army worms?? Haven't found any but seeing a lot of those little yellowish/white butterflies in the pasture. hate to think about all this lush green grass going to the worms.

TB yu couldve went 2 or 3 months before you mentioned armyworms.i hope they dont hitt us this year.

Saw lots of moths today when I was cutting...guess they are on the way.

They are out around us (between Fort Worth & Waco). We've got them in our oats and all of the wheat farmers are spraying their fields.

I know this sounds goofy, but do Army worms in the spring look different from the ones we get in the fall? I've had some critters that look kinda like the fall Army worms on my porch the last couple of mornings. We've checked around the yard and pastures but havent' seen any evidence of the them in the grass any where. We sprayed the yard anyway and are keeping a close eye on the pastures.

Typicial..we get a break and have loads of green grass..and the damn worms come out..
