Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries, then
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his a$$!

Tax all he has,
Then let him know...
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.

Put these words
upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me
to my doom..."

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

COMMENTS: Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago;
then our nation was the most prosperous on Earth.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class
on Earth, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids (& no fences around our yards).
What happened?

I'll tell you what happened. We started taking care of everyone
else, and forgot about taking care of our selves and one another.

And I still have to press "1" for English.

I didn't see the Intangible Tax. This one really gets my goat. You can't really touch it or see it but you can tax it. Makes no sense to me.

When it is all said and done we probably pay 50% or more of our earnings in taxes. A person works half of the year for the government and the other half to take care of their family.

In hard times people cut back on spending, but when the government has hard times they raise taxes to continue building them bridges to nowhere.

building them bridges to nowhere.

I heard yesterday that the bridge is not going to be built, which is a good thing, but the money set aside for the bridge is still going to Alaska for them to use elsewhere.

It figures.

What is sad, is that they were able to appropriate the money for such a thing anyway and it went as far as it did.

I had a wise man explain the gas crisis to me the other day. Said the reason we were short is all the oil is in Alaska, Texas, Louisiana, Forida and Pennysylvania but all the dipsticks are in Washington DC. ;-)
