I use a product called Tri-Lution from Agri-King out of Fullton Ill. It is a powder or a paste you can give anytime and I have used it for clostridial, cocci, e-coli, and salmonella problems. It's got some active ingredients that hold on to the pathogen once it attaches itself. The particle wont let go and is flushed out in the feces. I was sceptical at first so we took fece samples before administering it and after and boy, no joke clears the dickens out of it. Been using it ever since. Hope this helps
