Good post brute.
I was at the doctor's office for routine physical a couple weeks ago. Receptionist points at the box of mask on the counter and says get you a mask, me .no thanks ma'am.
Sir you have to.
No...I don't
Why it's for your safety.
Ma'am there was four people in line in front of me. Every one stuck their hands in that box of mask. Now their all sitting over there rubbing their face fiddling with their mask....no thanks.
(You can't fix stupid)

We'll you gotta take one to ...
Bye

That's a good point. Even if a person is pro-mask, some go about it in a ridiculous manner. All the strangers dipping their hand in the same box didn't make sense. I also see people with one pulled below their nose. Why even have it on?

Wife and I were talking the other day after she had been to town, that even if the masks helps they can't do anything just being around their necks like a lot of folks wear them. Going to be interesting in the coming weeks as the governor has mandated masks. So far it seems like maybe half wear them and half don't and a high percentage of the ones that do have a mask don't have them on correctly. I wonder if or how they are going to enforce it. Another thing that confuses me is they are going to continue with opening restaurants to 50% dining capacity, how in the heck can anybody eat with a face covering on.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

It's not required while eating, working out, or doing physical labor... more hypocrisy.

I have watched the same thing with the hand sanitizer fence. I was eating in DQ watching person after person walking with their masks but yet they all kept touching the same squirt jug of sanitizer. :bang: Here's your sign.

I have a budy who is really involved in politics for the democratic party. Basically what he told me is the govt jumped to shut every thing down with out taking in to consideration the effects on the economy. He said they had no clue people would actually cooperate so well. Then oil goes negative, major power generation companies say they cant make it thru the end of the year, and worse of all, most governments can not sustain with out the tax revenue for even short periods. He said no matter what side of the isle your on no one wants yo explain to their tax payers they are broke. So the govt is pushing the mask deal to appease people and not seem cold hearted, knowing it doesnt work, so they can get every thing opened back up. He is also an attorney and said none of these fines will hold up in court if you fight them. He said they are using the PR stance of protect your neighbor to enforce it.

We were out at an attorneys place yesterday doing some stuff and I asked him if any of this will hold up in court and he said no. People are already challenging it left and right and the govt wont even fight them. He said the only thing to watch for is like if your city council actually votes on it or some thing of that nature. It's hard to over throw city ordinances, HOA rules, etc. He said all these proclamations are just hot air.

I live less than a 2 hours drive from Dollywood and it has been 16 years since I have been. On my jobs and earlier years I did travel a little, but saw real quick there is as much to see around here in a 200 mile radius as anywhere I went. I have a truck that is 18 years old with 35K miles on it so I stay pretty close to home.
Yes, but it's a Ford. Who would want to spend time in one. Lol

I'd be proud to own it.

Did some research on that and apparently Ford Motor Company has no ties to the Ford Foundation. The last member of the Ford family left the FF board in the 70s due to the FF actually going to far left and selling off all their Ford stock.

Just FYI...

Didn't know that. Knew that Henry Ford was a founder. Didn't know they had cut ties. Good for the family. I bet that was bittersweet. I hope Ford Motor Co doesn't buckle under pressure from employees. That could hurt their pocketbook bad, but I hope they stand firm. Thanks Brute.

I hope Ford stands firm too. I would hate to think I had to drive a Dodge!! That is a social injustice in itself.

Get a Toyota

Blasphemy!!
I guess when you get down to it they are as American made as the rest of them. Their older little 4 cyl. trucks were darn near indestructible. Just not very comfy for us 6'4"ers. So long as it doesn't get so bad I have to drive a Chevy!
