Annually I try to remember to check my credit on the site that gives you free credit information from the big three companies once a year. A couple years ago there was a negative that showed up that was not mine. It took me a while, but I got it removed as it pays to check. THey want to charge for the FICO score so I very seldom get it. A score of 850 is good as it gets and anything over 800 is great.

How do we know if this site you posted is safe. They ask for a lot of information that could compromise your credit and bank records. I am getting paranoid about this.

Why are you checking your credit when you could buy a new truck with your pocket change.

Everybody thinks I am rich. Kenny you grew up less than a half mile, you know better. Fixen to go spread 12 ton of tripple 19 if I don't get rained out.

It's been along time since I was doing home loans, but the credit score you get is not always the same as what your lender pulls. Save your money on the score part, or go to your bank or for many your insurance provider.

Also, if you want a more frequent check on your credit report on that site just select one reporting agency and rotate to the next one a few months later. Each agency is/was required to give a free report annually that does not mean you need all three at once.

That is something a rich man would say. :D

My credit card companies all have an option to get a free credit score and one even posts it monthly for me. It will probably differ a bit from the ones that the bank will pull but it keeps you up on the general idea. I have found a few mistakes over the years. I don't particularly worry about it any more, it is only average, but I'm not looking to borrow any money anymore and in a couple of years some old stuff will be off, and it will come up. It is more important for younger people to worry if they borrow. If you are like Dave Ramsey, you don't have one because you don't ever borrow any money.

Haha...12 tons of fertilizer? Pretty rich if you ask me. :D

No kidding, I bought a ton of 13-13-13 and it was near $500.
You got gipped. I paid $414 a ton for 19-19-19 and the use of a nice buggy to spread. If it keeps raining the hay will be a sappy mess, hard to get dry and not a lot of food valve in it. A few years ago when gas/fuel was high I think I paid over $600/ton for the same fertilizer.

At one time mine was 832 but haven't borrowed any money now in ages. Probably couldn't borrow 15 cents now.

That is a very good score and probably about as good as you can get. The lending companies/banks etc. hold in high regard your FICO score as they will a lot of times give a better rate with a high score and of course getting a loan is much easier.
