Location
50 miles south of Kansas City
I know a couple of folks using Starlink beta and they are impressed. They are in Idaho. I guess the states will all eventually have service. Sound almost too good to be true, 50Mb/s to 150Mb/s, location does not matter and cost is $45.

Anyone here using or signed up to receive when available?

Here's a link. https://www.starlink.com/

Also has a 55-45ms ping on good days, starlink says it will be down to ~15ms at final stage. I imagine cloud cover will put a ding in that number.
I signed up for the beta but never got in.
I have fiber 3 miles from me, so I guess we will see which one gets here first.

Got this email from a friend on another forum. He's lives in NC. Might be a time to double check your location if you're interested.

"Just got my starlink "coming soon" preorder on Friday. Jumped on it right away. Looking forward to <100ms pings"

We did the pre order a few days ago. Anything has to be better than what we have now. YouTube reviews in remote areas are pretty impressive so far

Fiber runs across my place 1/4 mile from the house. Been their 15 - 20 years. Maybe more. Doubt we will ever get to tap in...
