Yes I'm ok at righting poems. She knows not to have to high of an expectation for them when she reads them. At least I will sit down and try to do something with a bunch of thought put into it for her. Not to paint a scary picture - but I am sitting at the computer - most of you folks in North America are still in bed - I am somewhat hung over from some home made hooch a guy from Slovakia made - we killed both bottles last night - it was horrible until drink number three or four - truthfully I cannot remember - and am now eating popcorn that badly needs some butter and salt for breakfast.
Out of cigarettes so I am sure my mood will not improve - picked that habit up again after being off them for a while.
I now remember why I stopped doing these stupid things so many years ago.
We got back from patrol on Mt Hermon yesterday - deep snow up there - and the bottles were in the big bunker beside our small caravan - waiting for us - along with a note telling us to enjoy. Not sure if we enjoyed, but we sure did forget.
My uniform is on the floor and I am using it for a carpet as the wood floor is cold and I am wearing my fleece long underwear - cammo pattern I might add.
If I can get out on the satt phone today I might actually buy some roses for the old girl - but will have to send them to the school as she works there and the florists will not deliver to our farm in the country.
My plans for the day are pretty simple - recover from several stupid acts of self inflicted injury. As the old guy it takes me much longer than the kids - most of whom are twenty to thirty years younger than me.

I blame it on her. She made the plans and only gave me the info she wanted to so I would say ok. She could have lied to me like she has before because she wanted to go there and know it did not have anything for my enjoyment. She will not even tell me the name of the place or where it is. Our church youth group set up the church as a cafe - candlelight, linen tablecloths. They are a talented group and there was a piano player, violn player and a electric banjo. They played music and served dessert. It was wonderful, best service I've had anywhere. They were all dressed nicely and lots of sirs and ma'ams. They use it as a fund raiser and we didn't mind leaving a tip.
Today I am eating lots of chocolates, smelling my roses and getting ready to go check the cows. I'll probably spend Valentine's with one of my cows by the looks of things.

That's what our youth did as well! Except they played classical music on the stero instead of in person. We also played a game that was a spin on the Newly Wed game. The dinner was only for people over 50. We had a wonderful time.

Where's the love Alice?? Florist have to make a living to and it shouldn't always be from funerals. We all have to make a living. My wife and I enjoy valentines day. Maybe the old man will pick you a mess of bitter weeds. Seems fitting.

I have all of you beat...We had a romantic dinner with rib eye and Tiger prawns. La Playa 1994 ,,,...everything perfect..Then we held hands as we did a quick check on the cows again at 9:30 pm..And frolicked into the wee hours of the morning.. :heart:
For those of you with dirty minds you are right on the money... :arrow: :arrow:
We spent until 2:00am fixing a uterine prolapsed cow ...With the help of a skid steer and hubbies qualified hands (no vet) we got her back together again and up and eating etc...So the evening was all that should be expected ,,,,sweaty ,,,soaking wet and sticky ,and a shower afterwards... :lol2:
Btw, the heifer calf is appropriately named Valentine..
