Everything in the Pacific Northwest is know as Webfoot. Especially this time of year and especially this year.

But now that you mention it.... Oregon Ducks and OSU Beavers.... they both have webfeet.

And that team was tied with the future "national champions" with 2 sec. to go in the game. Must go back farther than that. Look at the guys that have played in the NFL...and HOF stands for Hall of Fame. Not bad for a bunch of webfoots.

Webfeet is more of a state motto than anything one school, although you did shake my memory on that. I hadn't heard it used for many years. Okay Auburn fans I'll layoff the Auburn jokes, maybe ga.'s well thought out comments and the word superior got under my skin a little. A win on a last second field goal does not make for a superior team ....... But it does make it a win.

Until Feb. 2 and signing day, I hope it goes as well as the media says it will.

:shock: :shock: :shock: TB nice post, what a stroll down memory lane. Thanks for the research and post. Just a side note is I played high school football against Neil Elshire, he was a year older, he graduated high school in 1975 from Albany, OR. At that time he was a tall skinny kid that could still knock you on your a$$. He went on to a pretty good NFL career with, if memory is correct, the Vikings (without doing my research ).

I also thank TP.
Several kids I played football with went on to play at OU. None of them made it to the NFL but there was one name on the list I knew. Ahmad Rashad (Bobby Moore back then) went to a near by high school. We ran in the same track meet. Thankfully not in the same event. That saved me the embarrassment of being beaten that badly.
